Our Story

From Our Waters

Green-Walk Trout Hatchery is a cherished family-owned establishment that has been serving the community since its founding in 1950 by visionary brothers, Raymond and Charles Williams. As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we are proud to continue the legacy of raising trout, now managed by the 4th generation of our family. The hatchery sits on approximately 300 acres of land, with about 80 trout ponds. The water originates on our property from pristine sand springs, creating the perfect conditions for cultivating high-quality trout that our customers have come to trust. For nearly 65 years, Green-Walk has specialized in growing trout for live stocking into private lakes, ponds, and streams throughout the Northeast. However, over the past decade, we have successfully expanded our operations to include a unique initiative Stream to Table. Our on-site USDA certified kitchen allows us to process and package our trout for fine dining establishments, where our products have become a favorite. Our trout have been featured in prominent newspapers and dining blogs, gracing the menus of acclaimed Michelin Star restaurants and even appearing in prestigious cookbooks. We take immense pride in our commitment to growing superior trout and maintaining our family values throughout our operations. Every trout is grown with love and harvested with respect.
